My name is Cody... and I'm a travelaholic. Wow, it feels great to finally come to terms with that.
Like many others, traveling the world has made its way to the top of my bucket list, and for the last 7 years I've been slowly but surely making progress on this goal. I've been averaging 8 countries a year (57 to date), which wouldn't be possible without subscribing to the award travel strategies detailed on this site.
Interestingly enough, I didn't grow up in a nomadic lifestyle. I was born and raised in Idaho and never left the country until I was 22 years old. It wasn't until I was in my last semester of my MBA program that I realized this needed to change. So in a moment of panic, I used my student loans and booked a trip to Europe a few months before entering the workforce. Needless to say, this trip changed my life and I knew that I had to find a way to make travel an integral part of my life.
Luckily, I picked a job that required a lot of travel. I worked as an IT risk consultant for a Big 4 accounting firm and traveled domestically 6-7 months per year. This travel was not exotic by ANY means, but it taught me the ins and outs of the frequent traveler industry and how to optimize my points and miles to travel on my time off for pennies on the dollar.
Currently, I'm still working in the risk consulting world and giving this travel site thing a shot as well. I'm married to my amazing wife, Riki, who I’ve been fortunate to have join me on these worldly adventures. I hope you like what we got going so far, and would really appreciate your feedback on how we can improve.
Thanks for stopping by!
